Chapter Six

I was too deeply engrossed in what I was doing between la Powers' thighs to notice this. Besides, she was performing her own bit of lip work on me. We were shaking and jerking and had no eyes or ears for anything else.

It was only when I heard a loud splaaat that I drew away my head. There was a big male hand slapping at the Powers backside and leaving red hand-prints on the brown flesh. Ulrica screeched, turned her head and gawked.

I did some gawking myself. I was looking upside down into the cold, hard face of a very handsome young blond male. He was leaning over the bed, his big hand ready to administer another spank to her backside, when I found my voice.

"Look, mister—we're not doing anybody any harm. I didn't know Copenhagen had hotel detectives who barged in on a couple of girls having their afternoon jollies."

I tried to make my voice wheedling, but he wasn't having any. His blue eyes went up and down Ulrica, then took all of me into his eyeballs. His face was Slavic, with high cheekbones. At first, I'd thought him a Dane, but I changed my mind. There was something about his looks that grated on me. Danes are fun-loving people. A real Danish man would have been off with his clothes and into the bed with us.

Not this boy. He snarled, "We had an appointment, Ulrica."

"I—I'm sorry about that. We got carried away."

"So I see. Put on your clothes. You, too,” he added, staring down at me, waving the Luger he held in a hand.

Ulrica got off the bed. I was watching the pale blue eyes touch our nude bodies. This lad was a cockeyed liar. He may have pretended to be indifferent to our feminine charms, but he was far from it. A rising bulge in his impeccably tailored striped suit pants told me otherwise.

I smiled. "Hey, now you're here—why not join us?”

Ulrica nodded, licking her lips nervously. "Certainly. Why not, Odo? We will make it very good for you."

"You know why not,” he growled darkly, hunching his shoulders nervously. "There is too much at stake for such carryings on. He wouldn't like it.”

"Oh? Who he?" I asked brightly.

His scowl grew blacker, telling me it was none of my business. A sideways glance told me Ulrica Powers had become very pale under her modish tan. She looked helpless and forlorn in her nudity, bent forward slightly as though wanting to pose like the girl in the September Morn picture, but trying to be very brave about it all.

“What about this one?” he asked her, pointing at me.

"She's a friend of mine from Montana. She's over here to pick out an apartment for herself and her husband.”

His full lips sneered at my morals. "Another degenerate capitalistic American! You women are all alike."

Say! Maybe this boy was a fag. Still, I really didn't think so. His tendre had taken place too fast. No man can fake a thing like that.
